Our Story

Four Storey House is a contemporary British decorative arts brand inspired by colour, pattern and playful storytelling.

I'm Anna Greensweig-Brodie, and Four Storey House is my creative world.

My love of colour and design began in childhood, and my journey here has included degrees in 3D Design and Theatre Design, working for the Arts Council, and a career in advertising as a consultant Brand Strategist. Along the way, I even founded a dog rescue.

These varied experiences shaped my perspective, teaching me the value of authentic storytelling and reinforcing my commitment to ethical and responsible business practices. Both continue to influence the way I design and the way I run Four Storey House.

My artwork draws inspiration from Arts and Crafts design, Scandinavian pattern and the decorative richness of the Victorian Gothic Revival. A lifelong love of colour, combined with a touch of nostalgia, plays a central role in my creative process. I enjoy blending vintage influences with contemporary design to create work that feels both familiar and unexpected.

Beautiful design deserves thoughtful production. We work with specialist manufacturing partners who share our commitment to quality, craftsmanship and responsible making. Today, our collections are produced in the UK, and we carefully consider the materials, packaging and processes used across the brand, continually seeking ways to reduce waste and tread more lightly on the environment.

From art prints and paper goods to future decorative collections, Four Storey House is built around a simple belief: that colour, character and craftsmanship have the power to enrich everyday life. My vision is to continue growing this creative world through pieces inspired by colour, pattern and playful storytelling.
