Our Story

Welcome to the Four Storey House brand story.

I’m Anna Greensweig-Brodie and Four Storey House is my passion.

My love of colour and design started in childhood and my journey to here includes degrees in 3D and Theatre Design, working for the Arts Council and in Advertising as a consultant Brand Strategist. I even started a Dog Rescue along the way.

These creative disciplines and varied roles shaped my perspective. They taught me the value of authentic storytelling and reinforced my commitment to ethics, both of which I will take forward and interweave into my designs and business practices.

My art style mixes Arts and Crafts designs with Scandinavian patterns and a touch of Victorian Gothic Revival. The 70’s were a very colourful time and nostalgia plays a significant role in my creative process. I strive to blend vintage charm with modern aesthetics and bold designs.

In business I believe in complete transparency, open conversations and the ability to enjoy my customers and business partners. Some people don’t believe that business should be fun but I think if it isn’t, then it’s just not going to work out.

Championing UK manufacturing and environmental responsibility is at our heart. Which is why all our products are made in the UK by specialist manufacturers. We actively work to minimize our carbon footprint and our made-to-order model reduces unnecessary waste because we only produce what is truly wanted by our customers.

We source materials from suppliers who share our vision. This includes using FSC-certified papers for all prints, water-based dyes, where possible, to reduce pollution and sustainably sourced wood for our frames and hangers. Our packaging is both made from recycled materials and is fully recyclable.
